I'm so sick

of seeing my own post below that even though I don't have anything important to say, I've just got to post something else to look at. :)

I've been on a baking kick this week. Two kinds of cookies, brownies, and bread.
And they are all gone. Never fear, I did not eat all of them myself. I've shared.

I've tried to sew all week, but it just has not been as productive as I had hoped.
But I've got a bunch of yummy new ideas that I'm working on. I'll share once I get a few finished.

I hope you all enjoy this last Friday in February. Can you believe month 2 is already over? When every one is back on Monday, it will be March! So exciting! Spring is almost here and good things are coming.

Have a wonderful weekend. Even if it's cold stormy and grey. Watch a great movie, make a big pot of yummy soup, cuddle under a blanket with your sweetheart, sipping tea and talking about dreams. Talk to you all soon!

What I've been up to...

I've kind of been MIA this week in blogland, and I'm sorry about that. But, I have been busy! I had a deadline to meet with my upcoming demo and class at the local quilt store so I've been busy busy busy starting and finishing up my display models.
I thought I would share what projects I've been up to lately, sorry for the very picture heavy post, but I've promised myself to do a better job this year taking pictures of the things I make.
Without further ado - my recent crafting projects (with commentary)

tee-shirt gifts for four of Olivia's friends. They each have their initial on them.

They were well received as all 4 kids ripped off the shirt they were wearing to put these on.
Wrapped up and ready for gift giving.

New word pillows went off in the mail this week for a (get this) professional photoshoot! Love the detail work and I've come up with some new back designs that I love.

I'm working on a shop update (Monday I hope) and these pretties will be in there!

Appliqued onsies is part of my demo at the quilt shop.

This cupcake cutie tee will also be on display at the shop. Olivia can't wait to get it back and actually get to wear it!

And last, but not least is the bag I am going to be teaching. It's from Amy Karol's book, bend-the-rules Sewing. I'm loving this bag and I'm excited to get it back and use it this summer. The chocolate linen is super yummy and I've re-fallen in-love with embroidery.

I've already gotten a custom order just from taking this into Starbuck's on my way to drop it off for display at the quilt store. Can't wait!

If you made it through this entire post, I congratulate you and thanks for indulging me!
Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Happy Valentine's Day,
dear friends.

We are having a lay-about sort of day.
Mommy and Daddy are fighting a yucky little stomach bug,
so it a good think we are stocked up on movies from the library.

Hope you all have a wonderful day doing something you
love with people you adore.

on a lazy Sunday

See this pretty dress?
It was my Christmas present
from my dear husband.

It was my first time to wear it.

the girls enjoyed the beautiful spring-like weather.

Rose tool a ride in her boat.

She loves to slide and will slide any slide
we put her on.
Any. Seriously.

Do their faces not tell the whole story?

We made a cake,

that called for fresh coconut

and turned out amazing.

We had beautiful weather that we loved
and a good morning at church
and then in the evening we headed back to church
to watch the movie "Fireproof"
that the marriage ministry showed.

I love easy days full of sunshine and giggles.
Resting and eating really good food.
Cooking in a clean kitchen and snuggles with the people
I love most in the world.
